Proposed changes to bus routes

The Borough Council has provided an overview of the changes being made by Arriva to the bus service they operate in our Borough.  Borough Officers have now been able to digest all the information that Arriva have made available to them and they have provided notes and a summary which can be viewed here.  I hope this information will be of assistance to you as the changes are quite complex.

The Borough Council will continue to lobby Arriva regarding these changes however they have no powers to insist on any changes, all of which are legal and not in breach of any of the Transport Acts.  Arriva have the powers to operate commercially without any need to undertake an impact assessment of these planned changes unlike Public Sector bodies such as the Borough.

Arriva’s contact details can be found in the note should you wish to comment on these changes.
