Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin is holding its annual Afternoon of Entertainment 2015 variety show at Oakengates Theatre in May.

Now in its eighth year, this hugely popular show is aimed at the over 60s living in Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin living either independently or in a care setting and promises a fun afternoon of music and comedy.

The theme of this year’s show is the Swinging 60s and will feature the music of The Beatles. Frank Sinatra and Elvis as well as songs from the musicals of that era. A line up of professional entertainers including the Two Beatles Tribute Band, comedians Dandy Glynnis & Allan Briscoe and local entertainer Dave South will be joined by choirs from Wrockwardine Wood Arts Academy and Redhill Primary Schools.

There will also be a raffle with great prizes and refreshments on sale.

The Afternoon of Entertainment variety show will take place on Tuesday 19th May 2015 from 2pm to 4.30pm at Oakengates Theatre@ The Place, Oakengates, Telford TF2 6EP.

Tickets are now on sale priced at £5 each available from Age UK based at Meeting Point House at Telford Centre.
